Kelly Slater, originally Robert Kelly Slater, is an American professional surfer born on February 11, 1972 in Cocoa Beach, Florida, USA. Known to have both Irish and Syrian ancestry, Kelly is not just a surfer by heart. He’s also a person who enjoys playing guitar as well as composing sonnets. As a surfer, he usually spends time doing his favorite sport in places such as Kirra in Australia, Jeffreys Bay in South Africa, Minis in Ireland, Pipeline in Hawaii, Taghazout in Morocco, Bilgola Beach in Sydney Australia, Soup Bowls in Barbados, and many other places. In the early 1990s, he appeared on the popular TV series Baywatch, playing the role Jimmy Slade for eight episodes. It was also in the 1990s when he joined a band together with fellow surfer Rob Machado. The band was called The Surfers.
Kelly’s surfing activities throughout the years made his body lean and ripped. So how is his diet, on the other hand? According to Kelly, he’s more into healthy and clean eating. Here’s what he said during one of his interviews:
“Eating clean to me means not eating too many different types of foods all at once. I also try and eat a wide variety of the same nutrient. For instance, if you are into eating protein, I don’t think you want to always eat the same protein. You want to vary the types of amino acids you are eating.
